I must have visited the shop more then 10 times pondering whether I should be getting this special wallet using Shell cordovan, a type of leather often used in shoemaking, in wallets, belts, card holders and other small garments. It Is an equine leather made from the flat shell just below the hide on the butt of the horse.

My quest for Japanes made cowboy wallet continues with this. The wallet was made in Japan as Japan is also well known as a reputed producer of the high quality leather. The best horse hides from Europe, specially from France, are imported to just a few of the finest tanneries in Japan, Shinki-Hikaku Co. is one of them. They are based at the south of the country, in the city of Himeji. They select carefully every horse in Europe using high standards and strict regulations. The Japanese craftsmanship is really superb!

This is the final horse leather wallet made for Edisonkun from Japan and I am glad to get it. Initially, I was looking at The Flat head cordovan wallet but they only have black, maroon, and combination colours. My preference is the natural brown cordovan. I saw another unit of brown cordovan at the shop next door with brown shell but the interior of the wallet is not cordovan but cow leather ...my preference is to get one in complete cordovan : )
